Another NHL player wheeled off the ice: This time, it’s Winnipeg Malcolm Brown Jersey Jets rookie defenseman Jacob Trouba, after he crashed face first into the boards Friday night.Trouba was racing St. Louis Blues defenseman Jordan Leopold for the puck by the Blues’ goal line in the second period. As Leopold sidestepped Trouba’s attempted check, an off-balance Trouba could not stop and skated directly into the boards.Trouba managed to wave as fans shouted his name while he was being wheeled off. A Jets spokesman said Trouba was taken to the hospital for X-rays and was alert, communicating and moving all his Clay Matthews Jersey limbs.”Trouba’s still getting evaluated, but everything’s good, he’s got motion, he’s got everything,” Winnipeg coach Claude Noel told reporters afterward.Later, he showed a sense of humor about the situation. Thanks for the support. If you were Lance Dunbar Jersey wondering, the boards are not edible. I’ll be back soon. Jacob Trouba (@JacobTrouba) Hours earlier Friday, Blues forward Maxim Lapierre was suspended for five games by the NHL for boarding San Jose’s Dan Boyle during a game Tuesday night. Leopold was not at fault in this instance. On Thursday, Detroit’s Niklas Kronwall left the ice on a stretcher after being boarded by Colorado’s Cody McLeod. The 19-year-old Trouba Greg Gaines Jersey was selected ninth overall by the Jets in 2012. He played for the University Greg Zuerlein Jersey of Michigan last season, then made the Jets out of training camp this fall.As for the game, Winnipeg rallied for two goals late in the third period and won, 4-3, in a shootout. The A sociated Pre s contributed to this report.
